Yoga is a spiritually inclined discipline followed by
millions across the world for purposes including, physical exercise, stress
relief and healing health problems. The science has made its way through to
modern day lifestyle and well being. The
affluence of yoga classes in London is most definitely a tribute to the
popularity of yoga in the UK. There are more yoga classes in London that in any
other European city, and a number of yoga centres that provide all the
requisite services and facilities.
Two of the various forms of yoga, Vinyasa
and Hatha yoga, have become popular around the world. Vinyasa Yoga is also
known as Ashtanga yoga London, is
the present day adaptation of ancient yoga practise. Commonly known as power
yoga, it focuses on the alignment of breath and movement, shifting postures
simultaneously. Another major principle of Ashtanga yoga is focussing all
energy on the body, moving in and out of asanas (postures).
Hatha
Yoga London focuses on mental, physical and
strength building exercises and postures. To elaborate, it consists of asanas
(postures), detoxification procedures, gestures, pranayama (breathing) and
meditation. Controlled breathing
techniques enables calmness of the mind through relaxation. The practise can be
reflected on any person practising it through the following outcomes; bright
eyes, glow in the face and a sense of well-being altogether.
At Yoga Go they understand how fast
paced the demands of the western world can be. Leaving very little time for
ourselves. To cope with the anxiety and strains life throws our way, it is only
important to find time to perform an exercise that benefits our wellbeing. That
is why at YOGAGO we aim to make Yoga practice as simplified as possible by
coming directly to you. We offer group sessions and private one on one classes
in the workplace and at your home. We offer classes in Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow,
Hatha and Sivananda for beginner, intermediate and advanced practitioners. So,
whatever your preference get in touch to discuss how we can make your life better
through the practice of Yoga on the go.
All Yoga Go teachers have obtained
certification to a minimum or RYT200 with Yoga Alliance registered schools. In
other words, it means you can have peace of mind that you are in good hands.
Ashtanga is a solid foundation for
Yoga. A series of poses that compliments one another and are followed
vigorously with Ujjayi breathing. In order to complete the primary series we
would need approximately two hours.
Hatha Yoga is very structured and
involves a specific number of poses within different categories. These poses
are then held for a set length. A truly wonderful style of Yoga that could be
done in a lunch hour. 1 - 1.5hrs in duration.
Vinyasa flow is a series of poses that
flow wonderfully together and can lead to a very upbeat energetic class,
burning those calories away in a flash. Classes ideally last one and a half
hours, but we can tailor lessons for a shorter period.
